The 2012 Black Gay Pride festival was held in Atlanta over Labor Day Weekend and featured dozens of events, from afternoon pool parties to the annual State of Black Gay America Summit. GA Voice was on-hand throughout the weekend and participated in the first-ever Pure Heat Community Festival, held Sunday, Sept. 2 in Atlanta's Piedmont Park.

Black Gay Pride marketplace at the Melia Hotel

Black Gay Pride kick-off party

Hundreds packed into XS Ultra Lounge on Thursday, Aug. 30, for a Welcome to Atlanta party to kick off Black Gay Pride. Hosted by Traxx Atlanta, Traxx Girls and the GA Voice, the club was packed with visitors from around the country gearing up for the largest Black Gay Pride in the country with numerous parties and events taking place over Labor Day weekend. Wassupnatl with Fantasia

Wassupnatl held "The Vita Rebirth" with special guest and former American Idol winner Fantasia as part of Atlanta's Black Gay Pride festival during Labor Day Weekend after her successful show in 2010.
