The 25th annual Peach International Tennis Championships brought together tons of LGBT tennis stars for a tournament hosted by the (gay) Atlanta Team Tennis Association during Labor Day Weekend. The annual event is a stop on the yearly Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) tour. The Atlanta Dream beat the Washington Mystics 82-59 on Thursday night, Aug. 31, at Philips Arena. But before the teams took to the court the team recognized Georgia Equality Executive Director Jeff Graham and Mimi McCain of GLAAD as part of its recognition of its first LGBT Pride night. Ticket sales were also reported to benefit Georgia Equality and Atlanta Pride.

Atlanta Cotillion, the AID Atlanta fundraiser featuring men dressing up as female debutantes, hosted its annual cabaret and silent auction Aug. 16 at Jungle.

During the Cotillion season, the male "debs" compete to see who can raise the most money. The winner is crowned queen at the gala, formal Cotillon Ball. Every third Wednesday of the month, local “celebrities” come together to play old television gameshow classics like “The Match Game,” “Family Feud” and “Let's Make a Deal” to raise money for Lost-n-Found Youth, a local nonprofit whose mission is to take homeless LGBT youth off the street and transition them into more permanent housing arrangements.
