The third suspect in the beating of a gay man in Atlanta turned himself into Erie, Pa., law enforcement late Wednesday and is expected to be extradited to Atlanta next week. His bail is set at $250,000 cash. A statement issued today from the FBI states: "On 02/22/2012, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Darael Demare Williams surrendered to the Erie Bureau of Police without incident. On 02/23/2012, at approximately 11:30 am, Williams was arraigned on Pennsylvania State Fugitive from Justice charges. Williams' bail was set at $250,000 cash. He is currently being detained in the Erie County Prison. An extradition hearing will be scheduled. It is anticipated Williams will be extradicted to Atlanta, Ga. early next week." Williams was arrested Wednesday night just a few hours after the Pittsburgh FBI issued a press release stating it believed Williams was staying with friends and relatives in the Erie area of Pennsylvania. The two other suspects were recently arrested in Atlanta in the beating of Brandon White, 20, who is gay. White was brutally beaten Feb. 4. His assailants posted video of the attack online, which went viral, galvanizing both LGBT activists and neighbors in the Pittsburgh community who spoke out against violence and crime. The video shows young men who identify themselves as part of the "Jack City" gang ambushing White, beating him and calling him "faggot" as he walks out of the McDaniel Street store.
