Gay-owned Traders in East Atlanta Village announced on Facebook that today is its last day of business. Owner Shawn Ergle posted Facebook this afternoon the locally-owned furniture and home decor store was closing down today. Today is the last day for TRADERS. Again I would personally like to thank every one for supporting TRADERS for the past 15 years. I will always cherish the years I spent here in the EAV and the friendships made. ... Shawn On June 22, Ergle and his life partner and business partner, Shawn Ergle, posted to Facebook: All good things must come to an end and unfortunately TRADERS Neighborhood Store will be closing in the next couple of weeks. Michael and I want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for supporting TRADERS. The past 15 years has been the journey of a lifetime and one we never imagined possible. We love East Atlanta and am so grateful for all the friends we have made. Maybe our political views rubbed some people the wrong way but diversity and debate is the path that made America great. We hope you will remember TRADERS as a store that CARED. We hope you will remember us, Michael and Shawn because we CARED. Check back for more details and let us know what you think about the closing of another gay-owned business. Past gay-owned businesses that have closed in recent months include Bellissima, Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse and Poster Hut.
