Second Sunday meets this afternoon to discuss black gay men and religion The discussion group, founded in 1992, is known for its engaging topics, and today’s definitely lives up to that goal. "Hellbound in Gasoline Drawers: Gay & God, Do They Go Together?" asks the question, “How does a brotha sit in church every Sunday and be condemned for being gay?” The conversation includes Pastors Paris Ely, Troy Sanders and Elliott Somerville, as well as Gregory Smith, author of “The Mid-Education Against Homosexuality in the Bible.” Second Sunday of Atlanta meets from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bruce Almond Room at Positive Impact, 139 Ralph McGill Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30308, www.secondsundayatlanta.org. |
