Fine dining fundraiser to benefit Open Hand Some 400 guests are expected to attend a fine dining experience and Open Hand benefit tonight, eating meals prepared by some of the best Atlanta chefs. Open Hand is a nonprofit that provides free, nutritional meals to people who need them. The organization was founded more than 20 years ago as a way to feed people with HIV/AIDS but has expanded its programming to feed other people in need. The attire is all white for tonight’s “Party in the Kitchen” event at Mason Murer Fine Art. Tickets are $150 for an individual and $500 for the patron reception including two tickets. Tickets can be purchased on Open Hand’s website. A silent auction will also be part of the evening’s event. The chefs preparing meals for the fundraiser include: Kevin Rathbun (Rathbun’s, Krog Bar, Kevin Rathbun Steak), Christophe Holmes (A Legendary Event), Gerry Klaskala (Aria), Ricky Burton (Café Intermezzo), Kevin Maxey (Craft), Shane Touhy (Dogwood), Craig Sauls (The Original El Taco), Jay Swift (4th and Swift), Gary Mennie (Woodruff Arts Center), James Satterwhite (Ritz-Carlton Buckhead), Chef Peter Kaiser (Twist), and Jeff Varasano (Varasano’s). The special patron reception starting at 6 p.m. will have food prepared by Chef Andrew Long of Café di Sol. Party in the Kitchen to benefit Open Hand
