The fight at Blake's on the Park that resulted in arrests as well as what is happening with Midtown crime are on the agenda for tonight's Atlanta Police LGBT Advisory Board meeting. Zone 5 Commander Major C. Leighty will be on hand to discuss the Friday night incident at Blake's when two patrons were arrested after a fight broke out at the popular Midtown bar. An off-duty APD officer working at Blake's Friday night was allegedly punched in the face by one of the unruly patrons after he and another man were asked to leave by management. The alleged assault of the officer led to more Zone 5 officers responding to the scene and arresting the two men in the parking lot. Leighty will also give an update of the robbery of two gay men that occurred Jan. 8. The two men were robbed at 9th Street and Argonne Avenue after they left Blake's. The Atlanta Police LGBT Advisory Board meets at 7 p.m. at Atlanta City Hall on the second floor, committee room 2. Public comment is limited to two minutes per person. UPDATE: Blake's employee Lynn Barfield, also known as "Mama Lynn," will not be attending tonight's meeting but Blake's management will be attending.
