Rabbi Joshua Lesser from Atlanta’s Congregation Bet Haverim was named by The Jewish Daily Forward as one of America's “most inspiring” rabbis alongside 35 other Jewish spiritual leaders this week.

There have been all kinds of fun Twitter accounts created by pranksters who want to pay homage to things like Angela Jolie's leg , Marco Rubio's water break and, with nearly 300,000 followers, Pimp Bill Clinton.
And today, with the announcement of a new pope and one of the most important days in a Catholic's life (and also apparently everyone at CNN's life as well), comes a new fun Twitter account, @GayPopeFrancis.
Of course, it comes as no surprise the real Pope Francis I disapproves of marriage equality and even believes gay people adopting children is a form of discrimination against the children.

Called the "perfect storm," Hurricane Sandy has forced New York and Washington, D.C., to close their public transit systems today, the New York Stock Exchange has closed physical trading and people in Manhattan and New Jersey have been told to evacuate to safer areas. It's going to be one major mess. You would think prayers for those in the path of the hurricane would be in order by people of God.

My mentor of blog writing says one should never repeat a blog, but in view of some of the emails we received from young people this week at the church, I really feel a need to give this witness again.
The pain and anguish expressed in some of the messages give me pause and the recognition that despite vast improvement for our LGBT community, it is still devastatingly hard to grow up gay.
