Together for 16 months, Avian Watson and Chantrece Buggs met at a Traxx Girls event at Club Miami. But it was definitely not love at first sight.
“Her first words were, ‘You look like my ex girlfriend,’” Chantrece says.

Love on the Rocks, the annual Valentine’s Day-themed fundraiser for Joining Hearts, returns for its sixth year Sunday, Feb. 10, at Room & Board Furniture in West Midtown.
The benefit is the first of the year for Joining Hearts, a nonprofit dedicated to raising money for housing support for Atlantans living with HIV and AIDS. Joining Hearts also organizes the annual Change of Seasons spring dance as well as the namesake Joining Hearts, the summer’s biggest (and gayest) pool party fundraiser held each year at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.

What advice would you give to a couple just starting a relationship? The advice we would give any young couple is make sure you have open lines of communication and be honest with each other. This is so important.
