Gay Atlanta welcomes spring today as the annual Change of Seasons tea dance warms up The Georgian Terrace Hotel. Featuring DJs Vicki Powell and Mike Pope, the event is put on Joining Hearts, which raises funds to provide housing to people impacted by HIV.
Change of Seasons is set for 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Advance ticket sales are over, but you can still get tickets for $25 at the door of The Georgian Terrace Hotel, 659 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30308.
This year marks 25 years for Joining Hearts, which raises money for HIV housing through signature events including Change of Seasons and summer's Joining Hearts pool party, scheduled for July 21 this year.
Thanks to strong support from sponsors, volunteers and donors, all money raised through tickets and tips goes directly to AID Atlanta and Jerusalem House.
"Whether you enjoy spending the afternoon outside socializing with friends old and new, or you prefer dancing under the stars, our fund raisers are events everyone can enjoy while also supporting a great cause," organizers explain on the Joining Hearts website.
"In addition to donating 100 percent of ticket sales and tips, good financial management has enabled us to donate the money remaining after all production expenses are paid," the group states.
