Southwest Airlines, new to Atlanta thanks to a merger with AirTran, is celebrating its arrival to the Peach State by awarding $75,000 in grants to local charities. Among the 15 organizations vying for one of the grants is the Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus. The chorus, listed in the “small charity” group, is up against VOX Teen Communications, Good Mews Animal Foundation, Nuci's Space and Coastal Counseling Center. Georgia residents – sorry out of state readers – can vote for one winner in each category (small, medium and large charities), once a day until March 18. Voters will also be entered to win a trip for two to Las Vegas, courtesy of Southwest, that includes tickets to a Cirque du Soleil production, round-trip airfare and four nights in the ARIA Resort & Casino.
