On the fourth Friday of each month, Bet Haverim hosts a special Kabbalat Shabbat service and vegetarian potluck at 6:30 p.m. Other weekly Shabbat services begin at 7:30 p.m.
Congregation Bet Haverim Mission Statement: Congregation Bet Haverim shall provide contemporary Jewish spiritual, educational, cultural, and social experiences in which an individual can integrate his/her practice of Judaism with other aspects of his/her life, including: social consciousness, intellectual curiosity, sexual orientation, and familial bonds. The Synagogue shall serve and support the lesbian and gay community, and shall promote the Reconstructionist concept of Judaism as an evolving, religious civilization.
