Support for marriage equality is at an all-time high, according to a new poll released by The Washington Post / ABC News.
Some 58 percent of Americans now support the right for gay and lesbian couples to marry, but perhaps the most surprising result came from the question, “Do you think being homosexual is something that people choose to be, or do you think it's just the way they are?” Some 62 percent of respondents stated they believed being gay was not a choice.
The poll surveyed 1,001 adults and held a margin of error of 3.5 percent. It was conducted between March 7-10 of this year.

There have been all kinds of fun Twitter accounts created by pranksters who want to pay homage to things like Angela Jolie's leg , Marco Rubio's water break and, with nearly 300,000 followers, Pimp Bill Clinton.
And today, with the announcement of a new pope and one of the most important days in a Catholic's life (and also apparently everyone at CNN's life as well), comes a new fun Twitter account, @GayPopeFrancis.
Of course, it comes as no surprise the real Pope Francis I disapproves of marriage equality and even believes gay people adopting children is a form of discrimination against the children.
But Gay Pope Francis is the pope we perhaps dream about. His account is still very new and there are less than 10 followers as of this writing, but @GayPopeFrancis has tweeted some zingers already:
As for the pope's valid twitter account, it only has one simple tweet:

A report in the Wall Street Journal questions whether the baby cured of HIV who made headlines last week around the globe actually had the virus to begin with.
Mark J. Siedner, a postdoctoral fellow in the division of infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, writes in a March 11 story for the WSJ that the real story of the baby and her mother, from Mississippi, was revealed at an Atlanta HIV conference last week.
The story behind the "miracle" baby from Siedner:

The anti-gay National Organization for Marriage is preparing for a march on Washington, D.C., on March 26, the day the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments on California's Proposition 8 challenge, Hollingsworth v. Perry and hardly anyone has RSVP'd.
Judging by interest on the group's Facebook page, the march seems destined to fizzle. Less than 3,000 people “like” the event and only 264 people have confirmed they would actually attend what is likely to be the largest gathering of anti-marriage foes this year. That's about 10 percent of the number of folks that crowd East Point for the annual Possums drag benefit or one percent of the average number of Atlanta Pride attendees.
Oh, and does anyone else find it ironic that NOM's primary tool for organizing the march is through gay-friendly, DOMA-hating social network Facebook? It just seems a little hypocritical to me... They boycott Starbucks for promoting equality but not Facebook?
