Last night, journalist Lisa Ling appeared on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to discuss her new show, “Our America with Lisa Ling,” on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network. Ling discusses an episode of her show centering on transgender people at different points in transition. “It's a really beautiful show,” Ling says. “We cover people at different stages of transitions, including a six-year-old child who was born Harry but never identified with being a boy.” The interview covers a wide range of topics pertinent to the transgender community (and offers a glimpse of what a transition really looks like to mainstream America). It's definitely worth checking out. The full episode of Ling's show isn't available online at the time of this post, but you can find out more information on Ling's show here.
