| [Video] Vice President Joe Biden endorses same-sex marriage? |

On "Meet the Press" this morning, Vice President Joe Biden told host David Gregory he believed gay couples deserve full marriage equality. Administration officials, however, are slow-stepping what Biden said to say that Biden's intent was to say he and Obama agree on this issue — all loving couples deserve "all the civil rights, all the civil liberties" — whether gay or straight, said progressive political blog Think Progress. "I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men marrying women are entitled to the same exact rights. All the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly I don’t see much of a distinction beyond that. […]," Biden said this morning. Biden also said he believed NBC's "Will & Grace" did more for educating the public about gay issues than anybody has so far. The show aired from 1998-2006. At Atlanta's HRC Dinner on Saturday night, actor Sean Hayes, who played "Jack" on the popular TV show, was honored with the Visibility Award.
Evan Wolfson, founder and President of Freedom to Marry, said he believes Biden came out today in support of full marriage equality: Think Progress includes in its story a tweet from David Axelrod, the communications director for Obama's re-election campaign, that stated Biden's positions are the same as the president's: What VP said-that all married couples should have exactly the same legal rights-is precisely POTUS's position. Watch the video yourself and let us know what you think — does Biden say he believes in full marriage equality and therefore goes beyond what his boss thinks? Or is he really still towing the administration's line?
