By now, most people have heard of Grindr, and many of us have profiles. Our contact at Grindr reports that there are 4 million users worldwide, 1.3 million of whom are in the U.S. The average user logs on to Grindr 8-10 times per day and spends about 90 minutes using the app throughout the day. So if you find yourself Grindr-addicted, you’re not alone!

“Welcome to Atlanta,” said the police officer as she handed me my first ticket after my first accident in seven years of driving. It was bound to happen while living amongst some of the worst traffic in the nation, but my poor car!
Atlanta’s residents more than make up for its horrible transportation system. They are hospitable and looking for friendship, despite the size of the city. I get to work among the best of Atlanta.
As the new Gay Outreach intern for AID Atlanta, I get to be out in the city meeting members of the LGBTQA community and our allies. Coming from Auburn, Alabama [War Eagle!], I am astounded at the size and reach of our community here.

Meet Dennis Flores, 32, a gay Atlanta resident who is one of the many faces of the Greater Than AIDS “Pride” campaign. Flores will be featured in an upcoming ad in The GA Voice and other publications across the country to mark World AIDS Day.
Flores is a nurse and full-time graduate student whose work with HIV care has shaped his views on dating and health.
His full story is featured on the Greater Than AIDS website that includes this video:

The drug Truvada has been given its approval by the Food and Drug Administration today to be used as an option for reducing the risk of contracting HIV.
This is the first drug approved by the U.S. government to do so.
Truvada, made by Gilead Sciences, has been used by HIV patients on a daily basis with other drugs for years as part of regimen to keep the virus at bay. In studies, Truvada also proved that when taken in combination with the use of condoms the risk of HIV infection is greatly decreased

AID Atlanta staffers had some fun making a video to the summer hit "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepson while tackling a serious subject — HIV and being tested for HIV. The video also promotes the Georgia HIV/STD hotline at 1-800-551-2728.
