The gay-haters at Westboro Baptist Church are continuing their mission of pissing off everyone in America by announcing their intention to picket Sandy Hook Elementary School following the mass shooting in Newtown, Ct. that killed 26 people, including 20 students.
Westboro has regularly protested the funerals of slain American soldiers and has picketed concerts, churches, synagogues and even Atlanta’s Grady High School in “demonstrations opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth,” according to the group's website.
In a video titled “God Sent the Shooter” released on one of its websites over the weekend, Westboro celebrates the shooting and cites God's hatred of homosexuality as one of the (many) reasons for the tragedy.

Emory University's Student Government Association approved on Monday a resolution denouncing Chick-fil-A as a campus vendor, according to a story in the student newspaper The Emory Wheel.
The Dec. 2 vote was 18-3-3 and "signifies a statement by SGA that they support the LGBTQ community at Emory and encourage the university to reconsider its relationship with Chick-fil-A," according to student newspaper.
The Atlanta-based fast food chain faced renewed criticism earlier this year after its president, Dan Cathy, made comments reaffirming the company’s opposition to gay marriage. Chick-fil-A’s nonprofit foundation, the Winshape Foundation, also supports organizations that oppose LGBT rights.
It is unlikely however that university officials will force Chick-fil-A off campus.

Oscar Gittemeier, a library professional in Atlanta, has put together a 2013 calendar featuring some of Atlanta's queer literary devotees and their allies.
The calendar is called “Libraries Are Such A Drag” and all proceeds from its sale will go to the Georgia Library Association's Beard Scholarship. The calendar can be purchased at local Decatur coffee shop Java Monkey and will be available on Amazon Dec. 1.
“I had received a scholarship from the Georgia Library Association and I wanted to give back to the organization,” Gittemeier said today by phone. “A lot of my friends love the library and I love the library.”

The real controversy regarding Hostess Twinkies is just how gay the iconic brand really is. It would be a crying shame if Hostess Twinkies went belly up ;) after eighty years of bringing toxic plazmosa to American children and fatsos of all ages.
As we look back at the rich, creamy history of Twinkies--the food source that was predicted to outlive cockroaches and Cher--one could not help noticing just how gay the Hostess brand is when you look at their product assortment: Twinkies, Ho-Hos, Fruit Pies and Ding-Dongs? Come on.
Hey, I trust my gaydar and have three words for you, Twinkie the Kid. This mascot is as nelly as you get and his faux cowboy duds don't fool me, in fact, Twinkie the Kid became even gayer once the Village People became mainstream. Suddenly cowboys and Indians became less about fighting and more about tops and bottoms.
