Kevin Clash, the man behind Sesame Street's Elmo, has resigned his position with the children's show today after a second round of allegations surfaced that Clash had a sexual relationship with a then-teenage male. Today, a second accuser has come forward with a similar story of an underage fling with the then-thirty something year old Clash. The allegations are enough to force Clash, who is gay, out of his position at Sesame Workshop today. Sesame Workshop, the producers of the children's television program, issued a statement:

What's to be of Elmo is still anyone's guess. But whatever happens to the little red monster, one thing is for certain, Clash will no longer have a hand in it.
