| Meme of the week: Redneck Randal ain't no homo |
| by Ryan Watkins | ||||

Redneck Randal reminds me of a guy I went to high school with who used to walk around saying, “I ain't gay, I drive a truck” or “I ain't gay, look at these arms” as he would flex his biceps in an attempt to impress all of the guys around him. Yes, bicep size is an indicator of sexual orientation, but I'm sure you knew that already. While the Redneck Randal meme has mostly picked on the stereotype of a southern, inbred NASCAR fan that likes to speed date at family reunions, this Redneck Randal meme highlights the backward views of marriage equality that some 60 percent of North Carolina voters expressed yesterday when they voted to enact Amendment One.
