From the group's website: We are a fellowship of current and former Girl Scouts, Girl Scout Leaders, Girl Scout Co-Leaders, Girl Scout Volunteers, Girl Scout Parents and Girl Scout Lifetime Members across the United States concerned with the alarming choices GSUSA has been making (using the money we have paid and raised for them); we are advocating for a change back to simply building girls of good character. In a video released by the group earlier this month, a young Scout coldly reads a pre-written statement claiming the organization uses proceeds from the sale of the cookies to “[promote] the desires of a small handful of people” and highlights several cases of transgender children joining the Girl Scouts. The group is advocating that the Girl Scouts “eliminate sexual education” and to break ties with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, the international body that offers guidance to chapters in more than 145 countries over its partnership with International Planned Parenthood. The group's creation came after a controversial decision to allow a 7-year old transgender girl, who was identified as male at birth but now lives as a female, to join a Colorado chapter last year.
