Redneck Randal reminds me of a guy I went to high school with who used to walk around saying, “I ain't gay, I drive a truck” or “I ain't gay, look at these arms” as he would flex his biceps in an attempt to impress all of the guys around him.
Yes, bicep size is an indicator of sexual orientation, but I'm sure you knew that already.
While the Redneck Randal meme has mostly picked on the stereotype of a southern, inbred NASCAR fan that likes to speed date at family reunions, this Redneck Randal meme highlights the backward views of marriage equality that some 60 percent of North Carolina voters expressed yesterday when they voted to enact Amendment One.

Who doesn't love a Google Doodle? Today's gorgeous doodle was created in memory of Keith Haring, a gay man whose artwork inspired millions of people — gay and straight — and whose AIDS activism worked to save lives.
Today, May 4, marks what would have been Haring's 54th birthday. He died due to AIDS-related illnesses when he was 31.

Pastor Sean Harris of Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, N.C., made quite the stink this week when an audio transcript of one of his recent sermons was made public. In the audio, Harris said, among other vile things, "Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok?"
Harris was preaching on the sanctity of marriage and the immorality of the homosexual lifestyle.
Harris continued, "And when your daughter starts acting too butch you reign her in. And you say, ‘Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.’"

For folks my age, “That ‘70s Show” was a staple of television schedules for years. Even now, the show continues to thrive in syndication and still has a sizable fan-base.
"That 70's Show" was full of hilarious moments in its nearly 10 years on the air, including the one below, which is perfectly illustrated by this scene in meme-form.

Take note, Atlanta. What's the best way to silence a group of anti-gay street preachers encroaching on your Pride celebration? Umm... a flash mob performance to Lady Gaga's “Born This Way,” obviously.
As if we needed another reminder of why we must keep fighting for LGBT equality, some street preachers in Phoenix put on quite the show over the weekend during the city's 2012 Pride festival.
“God is disgusted with you,” one of the “preachers” said during the protest. “Too ugly to get a man, aren't you?”
