One of the summer’s largest parties, Premiere Party, was this past weekend at the Mason Murer Fine Art Center. The party benefits local nonprofit CHRIS Kids. “Premiere Party is important for a couple of reasons, number one is funds — we need funds for the great things they do [at CHRIS Kids],” Premiere Party board member Jim Anastos told the Georgia Voice before the event.
“Premiere Party is one of the big engines that keep the good work that they are doing going and spread the word about what they do.”
CHRIS Kids serves between 200 and 250 LGBT minors throughout the state. The group provides housing for homeless LGBT youth, provides support for youth in foster care and some who live at home in difficult situations.
Several political candidates and local leaders were on-hand during the event, including Mary Norwood, Joan Garner, Philip Rafshoon, Jeff Cleghorn and Kevin Kirby. For photos from the event, please click here.
