The Evolution Project, a "drop in space for gay & bisexual men and transgender individuals of colors in the greater Metro Atlanta area and it’s surrounding communities,' has made a video of safety tips to follow after a video went viral showing a 20-year old gay man being beaten by numerous gang members in southwest Atlanta.
The video of safety tips is from the Evolution Project's "Mr." show and is a special report on safety. "There has been such an amazing outpouring of love and support for issue. We must do something," says Guy, the narrator.
From suggesting downloading the App "Me911" to utilizing the buddy system to always letting someone know where you are through Facebook, Twitter or text, the narrator says it is up to people to be aware of their surroundings and report to police if they see anything unusual.
The Evolution Project is also participating in a rally planned for Saturday in the Pittsburgh community where the attack took place.
